SERVICES

Core Physiotherapy is pleased to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services including Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, and Acupuncture for Motor Vehicle Accident, Workplace, Sport, and All Other Injuries.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT?

At Core Physiotherapy we start with a thorough history of your problem which is then followed by a comprehensive physical evaluation. Once a diagnosis is made we will then recommend and discuss a focused treatment plan.

Your treatment plan will be designed to address the primary cause of your problem and you will be given strategies to control or eliminate your symptoms while working on ways to ensure the problem does not return.

The Physiotherapist will continually evaluate your progress and fine-tune your treatment to obtain the best results. Once discharged you will have what you need to stay healthy and prevent future injury.

WHAT TYPES OF TREATMENTS WILL BE USED?

Physiotherapy rehabilitation can involve a variety of specialized techniques including:

  • Exercise Therapy (Strengthening, Endurance, Function)

  • Postural, Gait, Balance and Coordination Training

  • Manual “Hands-On” Therapy (Joint Mobilizations, Muscle Stretching, Myofascial Work)

  • Modalities including Electrotherapy (NMES, TENS), Ultrasound, Acupuncture, and more

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

Results of Physiotherapy treatment will vary depending on the type and severity of your condition. Many patients will notice an improvement as early as their initial assessment and will continue to see results when they combine their regular appointments with a home exercise program.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT?

During your initial appointment the Physiotherapist will discuss your medical history as it relates to your current condition. Please bring details of any health problems, medications, recent imaging (X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI), and previous injuries.

As well, a thorough assessment will be conducted on the area where you are experiencing discomfort. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow the area to be evaluated.
